WheelClear (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates wheelclear.com, Pakistan's verified used car marketplace. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly.
2. Information We Collect
- Phone number — used for account creation and OTP verification. Never shared publicly.
- Name — displayed on your public seller profile.
- Car listing data — make, model, photos, price, location — displayed publicly as part of your listing.
- Messages — chat messages between buyers and sellers. Stored securely and never shared with third parties.
- Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, pages visited — used for security and analytics.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To verify your identity and prevent fraud
- To display your listings to potential buyers
- To enable secure in-app messaging
- To send transactional SMS (OTP codes, listing updates)
- To improve the platform and detect abuse
4. Phone Number Privacy
Your phone number is only shared when you directly contact a seller through the platform. We never share your number with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. No CNIC Collection
WheelClear does not collect your CNIC (national ID card) number, front, or back. Our verification uses phone OTP only. We designed this intentionally to protect your sensitive identity documents.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Supabase — our database and authentication provider
- Cloudinary — image hosting and optimization
- Twilio / Jazz SMS — OTP delivery
- Law enforcement — only when legally required
7. Data Retention
Your account data is retained while your account is active. Deleted listings are removed from public view immediately and purged from our database after 90 days. You may request full account deletion by contacting us.
8. Your Rights
- Access the data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Opt out of non-essential communications

9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. We will notify registered users of material changes via SMS. Continued use of WheelClear after changes constitutes acceptance.
